What You’ll Do (Role Description)

We’re building a product marketing organization to focus on the success and growth of our newest product line.  We have a big opportunity ahead of us and we’re looking for a Director of Product Marketing to take the reins and lead messaging and positioning, direct integrated GTM planning and execute cross-functionally with product and sales teams.

You will be the market and product evangelist both internally and externally. Your job is to ensure that sales teams are enabled with best in class, content, messaging, and sales tools. You will be the leader in translating the product differentials into tangible business value to ensure customer success.

We’d like you to have solid experience in leading product marketing initiatives from start to finish. You need to know how to support and accelerate the sales cycle with inspiring content. You are proficient in translating technical features into clear and concise benefits and are familiar with B2B personas and industry trends. You are an excellent writer, spokesperson and presenter, with the marketing acumen to translate your expertise into compelling content across multiple channels.

This is a managerial position and reports to Vice President of Global Marketing. 


  • Develop and steward compelling positioning and messaging, targeting key personas and industries
  • Translate value propositions into impactful sales enablement, including pitch decks, case studies, sales sheets, videos, collateral, whitepapers and more
  • Be the industry expert, monitor trends, and keep a close eye on competitors
  • Partner with demand generation teams on development of critical sales assets for middle to late funnel execution
  • Evangelize product capabilities to target verticals, markets and personas
  • Deliver demos, technical content, and thought leadership presentations
  • Owner of product pages and associated content strategy across the company website 
  • Spearhead content and programs that feed the thought leadership initiatives that ultimately driver higher brand awareness
  • Be comfortable to represent the company at hosted client events, partner meetings and industry conferences
  • Align messaging and content for various joint partner initiatives
  • Work closely with regional PR agencies as a product and domain expert 
  • Be a customer advocate; make sure customer content is included in anything and everything we do in marketing

Who You Are (Soft Skills, Attributes)

  • Proven track record of successfully taking new products to market 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement thoughtful marketing strategies that effectively position products, resonate with various customer personas, and ultimately accelerate sales
  • Ability to move between strategy and tactical execution and are hands-on across marketing programs in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Comfortable working closely with Product Management to shape product strategy
  • Highly analytical - always eager to use data for continuous improvement, and favor data-informed decision-making
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Thrives in a fast-paced start-up team-focused culture and adapts to a changing environment

What You Need (Skills/Experience/Abilities)

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and/or technical discipline is preferred 
  • A Master's in Business Administration degree from a top university program is preferred
  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in relevant enterprise cloud software market An advantage would be experience in FinTech, RegTech or Identity and Access Management
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Innate ability to prioritize and balance long-term goals with short-term objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time (global experience is advantageous)
